Simple Cheshire Cheese Company Dip and Crudites
Use this recipe with any of our delicious cheeses, here we have used Old Hag, but any would work equally as well.
Ingredients
For the cheese dip
- 250g cream cheese
- 300g Sour cream
- 20g plain flour
- 200g truckle Cheshire Cheese Company Old Hag Ale & Mustard Cheese (Or your favourite Cheshire Cheese Company Cheese)
- Handful of crispy bacon to garnish
For the crudites
- Any of your favourite vegetables. Here we have used carrots, cucumber, sliced radish, blanched asparagus, purple sprouting brocolli and edible flowers to garnish.
Method
To make the Cheese Dip, simply grate the cheese and add to the sour cream and cream cheese. Mix thoroughly and garnish with both fresh herbs, crispy bacon and a little more of the grated cheese. Decant into small ramekins and place on a board with crudites or use as a dip for crackers, breads, or a sandwich topping. The possibilities are endless.
To make the crudites board, place the ramekins of cheese dip on the board and carefully arrange your crudites around the board. Keep the vegetables roughly the same length to help cover your board evenly. Garnish with edible flowers, enjoy!
